*Funnily enough after that last post about The Doors I went to bed and put on this album for some reason and this is the first track. So this is Panbers from the fabulous compilation released a few years back (2011) by NowAgain Records called Those Shocking Shaking Days: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock & Funk 1970-1978. Anyway this is my 3rd perhaps final contribution to Blissblog's Music Music series. Great tune eh?

We Can Only Aspire!

Reynolds at Blissblog hipped me to this article on The Stones at Glastonbury. Morley talks festivals, rebellion, baby boomers and the future. I loved this quote: 'Festivals are the rock generation's equivalent of cruises.' Read the best article written this year here at The Guardian website. Actually I've heard that there are real rock n roll cruises, you know for senior citizens with too much money, where they do their jiving or twists or whatever these foggies do. There has even been an indy one somewhere around Melbourne or Sydney I do believe.

RE: The Beach Boys & The Rolling Stones

*Don't get me wrong about the Beach Boys. Many LPs that followed after Pet Sounds are classics in my book and I do have a book. What I meant was the general rock crits concencuss of Pet Sounds. I read that book Heroes & Villians way back in the late 80s and a couple of times since. The author didn't rate anything after that at all. So I was quite suprised when I tracked down the latter LPs in the 90s to discover some underated classics. Sunflower and Surf's Up are just as good in my opinion. Not far behind would be Wild Honey, 20/20 and Friends.

 

 



**Sure The Stones had a run of classics leading up to Exile and some good ones after like Some Girls and Tatoo You. Anyway you know what I'm getting at doncha?

Another Top Top Ten. This one seems a bit odd. I think I just wouldn't wan't a mixtape made from it. All those records are all fucking great though!
