Sunnyboys - Let You Go

[1981]
Back then they were just a fucking cool rock band we weren't putting them into categories, wasn't it all just new-wave. I was only ten years old though so... but shit I mean I guess it's all sorta post-punk power pop with jangly elements and pretty intense. They were just an exciting energetic rock band on the radio. My older brother's mate who'd moved to our dusty town in the sticks from Sydney brought the album around to the house one day and that was that: They became legendary forever from then on.

From the debut Sunnyboys album where electrifying teenage exuberance was captured to perfection forever. The teen turmoil sometimes contained dark overtones amongst the inventive guitar idiosyncrasies. It was all pretty exhilarating. Every song's a winner and Let You Go might be the best one.

Onya fellas.
